Welcome to the community involvement for the potential development of the land off The Hill in Littlebourne.

This interactive website will guide you through our current residential proposals for the site, and for us to gauge feedback on the proposals, ask you to complete some short surveys.

We are still very much in the design process, and the sections below set out what we would like to do, but this is not final. Now we want help from residents and businesses in the local area to provide feedback on our ideas.

Your views really matter to us.

The initial consultation is now closed.

info Look out for gold highlighted text like this - it will indicate interactive features on the map.

Enhancing Our Community

This image: an elderly couple ride bikes through a green park, whilst looking and smiling at each other. The map: the map zooms into Littlebourne, showing key bus routes and stops in blue, proposed and existing footpaths in orange, pink and blue, and local facilities indicated by gold map markers. The user can click on the gold markers to find out approximate walking times from the proposed site entrance.

Littlebourne is a sustainable village located directly east of the City of Canterbury, with great access to other surrounding towns and villages.

Littlebourne has a wide range of local facilities all walkable from the proposed site, including a shop and post office, a local primary school and several pubs. For other services, Canterbury is only a short bus journey away, with the nearest bus stop right outside the site frontage.

As part of this development, contributions will be made to sustainable transport, through the creation of new cycle lanes and walking routes, creating large areas of usable green space which can be enjoyed by new and existing residents of Littlebourne.

Our Vision

This image: two grandparents assist their grandchild in potting out some plants in an allotment garden. The map: the map has zoomed into the proposed site itself, showing illustrative landscaping. and map labels and markers. Clicking on the map markers opens illustrative photos of how the green infrastructure may look around the site.

Our vision is to create a high quality, design-focused housing scheme, that seamlessly integrates into its local surroundings, and provides key benefits to the local community.

The proposals will be embedded in nearly 3 hectares of newly accessible open space, which will incorporate native tree planting throughout the development, create a circular walking route through the community garden and allotments, and a new fully equipped children's play area.

We believe this will be an area the whole community can enjoy together.

Considered Design

This image: a young family are smiling and unpacking boxes in an empty, sunlit room. The map: an illustrative housing layout has appeared over the site, with interactive information markers which describe the design elements in more detail. The local conservation area adjacent to the site is highlighted.

Future development at Littlebourne offers the exciting opportunity to create an attractive and high-quality residential development that provides a mix of housing to meet local needs.

The Proposals will give key consideration to the local character of Littlebourne through its design, creating housing that integrates into the community, whilst prioritising its sustainability, through the incorporation of green principles and technologies.

With your input, we want to create a place where people want to live and communities can thrive.
